The Heredity Project works with communities of the Mid-South to develop strategies for better health through the use of genetics.

Goals of the Heredity Project are to:

• provide easy to understand information about genes and how genes influence health
• help people find reliable information about health problems that run in families
• help pave the way in using genetics to improve health
